Hiring a tree service prowhat to ask and when to book
Tree work is priced by the job, not the hour, and the price depends on access as much as size. A crew needs to know whether a bucket truck can reach the tree or whether a climber has to go up, where the wood will be dropped, and whether the stump should come out.
Ask whether cleanup and haul-away are included, and whether the quote covers stump grinding, which is usually a separate line.
Storm season and late winter are the busiest times for removals; pruning is slower in summer, so scheduling is easier then.
